The Isle aux Morts Harbour Authority will be accepting applications for:
A Carpenter/Supervisor and 4 Laborers
"in anticipation of funding being approved for a 12 week project starting in the near future"
Applicants for Carpenter/Supervisor position: Should have carpentry skills - a course in carpentry would be a major asset. Experience in constructing head blocks and floating docks will be an asset. Have good leadership/supervisory skills. Will be paid a hourly wage of $12.50, plus MERC for 40 hours for 12 weeks.
Applicants for Supervisor and Laborer positions: Must be able to do a reasonable level of physical labor. Must be prepared to work outside in extreme weather conditions and fairly harsh environment.
All applicants for laborer positions must be eligible, meaning presently on an EI claim or had been on an EI claim in the past three years or five years if on a maternity/parental claim.

Communities In Schools (CIS)
Volunteer Coordinators
Communities In Schools (CIS), in partnership with the Community Education Network and the Western School Board, is sponsoring a Job Creation Partnership Project through Service Canada in the Port aux Basques region.
Potential project sites include schools within the communities of: Codroy Valley, Port aux Basques, Isle aux Morts and Grandy’s River. There are two positions available for each school.
CIS Volunteer Coordinators will be selected from these areas, based on how their skills, interests and abilities fit the project activities. Coordinators will work with local schools and community organizations to develop programs that address the needs of young people in their communities and coordinate volunteer activities. Coordinators will gain work experience and job-related skills through work on various school and community based projects.
Applicant Requirements: Eligible applicants must be people who are E.I. eligible, out of school and unemployed. Please include your SIN Number on your resume to determine eligibility status.
